Dr. Allison Orr is a skilled optometrist who cares for patients of all ages at our Bee Cave location. She aims to improve patients' lives by providing excellent optometric care using the latest technology and her caring eye.
Dr. Allison Orr's Approach to Eyecare
Dr. Allison Orr brings a unique perspective to eye care, shaped by her specialized training in pediatrics and binocular vision. With experience working with concussion patients, athletes, and those with vision coordination challenges, she takes a whole-picture approach to every exam.
She believes that eye care should be more than just a quick checkup. Instead, she takes the time to educate each patient about their eye health, explaining what she sees and how it impacts their vision. Patients leave her chair not only with a clear prescription but also with a deeper understanding of their eye health.
Education & Experience
Originally from Long Beach, CA, Dr. Orr completed her undergrad at Chapman University, earning a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry and molecular biology. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry at the Southern California College of Optometry at Marshal B. Ketchum University. She completed her optometric residency in pediatrics at the University of Houston.
Dr. Orr's dedication to optometry has earned her several prestigious accolades, including:

- American Academy of Optometry — Fellowship
With her warm, welcoming demeanor and specialized residency training, Dr. Orr creates a comfortable environment for her pediatric patients. She loves the close-knit, family-oriented atmosphere at Bristol Family Eyecare and ensures every patient receives compassionate, knowledgeable care.
Dr. Orr is an active member of her community, teaching Sunday school to young children and staying engaged in service. She lives in Austin with her husband and two cats and enjoys hiking, painting, and playing volleyball in her free time.
