Austin Area Optometrist

Kayla Kindla, O.D.
Dr. Kayla Kindla is the primary physician at our Georgetown location. She earned her Doctor of Optometry in 2018, graduating from the University of the Incarnate Word’s Rosenberg School of Optometry. As part of her optometric training, she practiced at the William V. Chappell Jr. Veterans Outpatient Clinic in Daytona Beach, Florida, as well as the Community Eye Clinic in Fort Worth, Texas.
During this time, she gained experience treating a variety of health issues including glaucoma, diabetes, and dry eye syndrome. The passion she discovered for eye disease treatment and pathology, particularly glaucoma management, led her to earn the title of a therapeutic optometrist and an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist.
Dr. Kindla has been practicing optometry since 2018 and is a member of the American Optometric Society and Texas Optometric Society. Dr. Kindla also serves on the board as social chair for the Central Texas Optometric Society. She is licensed by both the Texas Board of Optometry and National Examiners in Optometry.
Dr. Kindla loves all outdoor activities including hiking and sand volleyball. During her spare time, she enjoys playing with her dog, Duke, and taking him on outdoor adventures.
Her passion for treating dry eye, glaucoma, and other medical eye diseases have led Dr. Kindla to continue expanding her expertise in the pathological side of eye care to the benefit of our patients here at Bristol Eye Care.
