How long have you worked here?

I am been with Bristol Family Eyecare Since September 2014.

What do you like to do in your free time?

In my free time I like to hang out with my fiance and son.

What is your favorite thing about being an optician?

My favorite thing about being an optician is helping clients pick out a frame that makes them feel good. I am a people person and I love to shop so when I am helping out a client it’s the best of both worlds, I am shopping with them and always making friends. Once we’ve chose the perfect frame I love to help them choose the perfect lenses for their needs. It’s always a good feeling when a client comes back to pick up their glasses and the finished product is everything they were looking for.

What is your favorite frame line?

I actually have 2 answers to this questions. I have 2 favorite frame lines for ophthalmic, Zero G which are SUPER light weight and have fun shapes, I am currently obsessed with the cat eye shape and Zero G has some amazing cat eyes, I also love our new Bristol Collection frame line. The colors are fantastic and the frames are easy to wear. They are great for an everyday pair. For Sunglasses I love Maui Jim! Their polarized lenses are amazing and their customer service is outstanding!

What is your favorite pair of glasses you own? This is a hard question to answer, I don’t think I have a favorite pair. I currently own 8 pair of glasses and that number will probably keep growing. You can never have to many glasses! I choose my glasses each day depending on what I am wearing and my mood.

Do you have exciting plans for the optical?

ABSOLUTELY! I am always keeping an eye out for new frame lines. Our office is growing so much and style is always changing so I am always looking for the next great thing for our office. You’ll have to stay tuned for future changes!

With a heavy heart, we are informing you that we have decided to close our office for all care other then for urgent/emergency visits until further notice. This closure is in alignment with the CDC and AOA recommendations for Optometry during the COVID-19 outbreak.

We will continue to monitor our phones and email: admin@bristolfamilyeyecare.com and will respond to you in a timely manner. Dr. Bristol will be available for virtual visits through the app Eyecarelive as well as by appointment for in-office care for emergency needs.

Staff will be available for product pickup from 9am-1pm for the remainder of this week. Call us when you arrive at the office and we will take your items to the foyer for you to pick up. Unfortunately, we will not be able to do any adjustments to glasses at this time. After Friday 3/27 we will continue to be available for pickup by appointment only.

We understand that you may have missed your yearly appointment and have a need for contact lenses. We are extending contact lens prescriptions for all current patients for an additional 6 months. Just call us at 512-263-3937 and we can get your order placed and shipped directly to your home for free!

If you need glasses at this time, we can remake a pair of glasses from your previous order.

Please understand that we are constantly monitoring this situation and will open our doors to resume business as soon as we are allowed. The health and safety of our patients and our team are of the upmost importance to us.
